My own egg cartons

You know that feeling you get when you buy a new dress or find something great for your home?  Well, that is how I feel.  I'm so excited to have my own egg cartons!  Yes, it's odd what a transformed farm girl gets excited about! But never the less, my girls work hard to lay those beautiful, tasty eggs.  They needed their own cartons and now they have them.  I have been reusing random cartons but didn't have a consistent supply.  Then I went to paper ones purchased at Tractor Supply but these were pricey for what they were. So I broke down and ordered clear ones online.  I love the round ones that hold 6 eggs.  Wayne helped me make labels because he is really good at that stuff and I am not.
So there you have it - Rockin' S-Squared Farm Eggs.
And one out of every 6 is green.  I sell them for $3/dozen by the way.  Sorry, no shipping.

  1. Kim, those are by far the cutest eggs I have ever seen! I'll be checking with you soon for eggs...we've got a carton left from last week's farmer's mkt.

  3. WOW!! What a great improvement to something already so good! I like the plastics - can you re-use them? If people bring back their own for refill? and very nice labels, too! Makes it look so 'official'

  4. Very cool, Kim. Do we order them and pick them up? Can you take them to church to deliver?

  5. Do you clean your eggs before selling them? If so, how?

  6. Yes, I do clean them. I wash them in warm water and dish soap one at a time as I remove them from the gathering basket (or my coat pockets ~ eggs are great hand warmers). Then I set them out to air dry before going in the fridge. Recently, I discovered that a "magic eraser" takes off stains that won't wash off easily so I keep one handy for that too.

  8. I ordered the clear egg cartons from eggcartonsonline.com. I ordered 100 of each. Then I bought clear sticker labels at Office Depot and printed my own egg design on it. The round ones are harder. I use full sheets of clear sticker paper and cut them out after printing. Peel and stick!

  10. Love the egg cartons. Thanks for posting the website. I only have 5 grown hen and 3 juveniles, but my sister has about 70 and she sells eggs, so I may surprise her with some and keep just a few for me.
