  13. Oh, my, they are tooooo cute. I would love them but can't think of a good purpose for them. What are you going to be doing with them? Our family does not like goat milk. So I don't see us having them.

  17. Oh my goodness, too cute, lol! We have a family near us that has two goats. They have created a little playground for them. They have a "Goaten Gate Bridge" for them to climb on. At one time there used to be chickens in there with them and they have a little shed that has a KFC sign on the side. lol. It's fun to drive by and see what the goats are up to. Sometimes they are just climbing on a pile of rocks or munching on some grass.

  18. Jennifer,
They are dwarf Nigerian Dairy Goats. They are so much fun. I love watching their little antics.

Also, welcome to all my new followers and you all will be glad to know we haven't had to call the vet once since Monday.

  20. I found your blog while visiting Flat Creek Farm! I like it and signed up to follow! You're living the life that I'm aiming towards! We used to have chickens but had to get of them when we thought we were going to move. I want more chickens! I also want goats but my hubby says no! I have to be satisfied with flower & vegetable gardening right now! And then canning the results!
Hope everyone stays well! Have a great weekend!

  23. Your babies are so cute. They are very curious, aren't they?

You mentioned wanting to know more about my horse, Wendell. He was named after the wonderful agricultural essayist and novelist, Wendell Berry. My horse is half Belgian and half Hafflinger. He used to have a gorgeous tail, but fancied scratching in the briar bush to often and picked up lots of burrs. He absolutely adores women, but could care less if he ever saw a mare. We bought him for my husband to train with his two Percherons, but Hubby went back to using tractors instead of horse power and they all became meadow muffins. Our only riding horses are a QH and a Standardbred who was a Mennonite cart horse (her trot is almost a canter!)My daughter is learning to train horses and I think Wendell would learn well. He has such a huge barrel that a saddle might be an interesting challenge to purchase. Have a great week!

  25. Good Morning, Miss Kim, How is the GOAT Barn going, I hope good, I cant wait to see pictures, I know it will be BEAUTIFUL, just like your house, your baby goats are so cute, we now have 3 babies, two twins that were born 8 weeks ago, that I bottled fed, because there mother did'nt want to be a mother yet, then another one had a baby boy, we still have 2 more to go, one anyday now, and shes huge. The Lady's at my local Goat farm gave me a hint, I was using those small nibbles on the cola bottles, then, they told me to try using those cheap bottles from WalMart, you know the ones that are about .98 cents, it took them awhile but they did take to them, and now bottle feeding goes pretty quick, when your feeding two a one time, have a blessed day, you have inspired me so much thank you, for being such a blessing, I'am so glad that I found your blog.
