Open Barn

This morning we hosted our first Open Barn for friends and family to see the lambs.  It was so much fun!

No matter what age a person is, holding a cuddly lamb brings a smile.

Hands and hearts were full today.

We had some horseback time too.

We are so blessed to have our farm and farm animals.

And what a JOY to share it with others!

We will have to make this an annual event.

  2. Kim, that is how memories are built. We have introduced about 20 (or more) kids and adults to our "farm", all with lots of laughs and giggles. No lambs, just horses, chickens and turkeys.Way to go!

  3. We have our 4H group and church groups out to do something similar, with a hayride and weiner roast as well.
    It is fun!

  10. we had an open farm day this past fall and it was amazing and we didn't have any adorable spring lambs to show off, but it's certainly something we;ll do again as well. You got some great shots and the smiling guests look like they had a great time! And a few guests look a bit smitten to the point were a soft and cuddly critter might just make it's way home with them soon! lol

  12. I always love it when farms open their doors and allow you to see what's going on there. I know its a day you give up doing what has to be done, but I always see it on everyone's face how much fun they are having. How nice of you to do this for your community.

  13. Isn't it great to be able to share like that. Our friends and family always think it is an imposition to us to visit the animals. They don't understand the joy it gives us to have something so special to share.
