Disappointing Death

Yesterday was a disappointing day.

We lost one of our new rams, Rambler.

We discovered he was sick on Saturday, called the vet immediately, and treated him according to directions.  He seemed much better but yesterday morning he died.

We haven't put our breeding groups together so we won't be having any Rambler lambs.

Yesterday we learned a lot about the realities of shepherding.  Although it was a disappointing death, it is part of farm life. 

Today life goes on within the flock but we will miss Rambler. 

I will extol the Lord at all times;

His praise will always be on my lips.
