Lamb Update

Our lambs are getting big.
Already a month old.

Time to move to the front pasture
to join the other sheep.

This is Dazs' & Callie's little ewe.
She's tempting me to keep her.

Daz & Ralene gave us this gorgeous lilac guy.
He knows he's pretty.

Auburn & Flora's ram is really nice with very dark black.

Those two are best buddies!

Hawthorn & Twinkle's ram will be a wonderful fiber pet.
He's super friendly.

His little twin sister is precious.
She is reserved already for a new fiber flock in TX.

In a few weeks, more lambs are expected and three ewes will move to the lambing area.
For now, it is nice to see them all together
and fun to see cars stop in front of the farm to watch the little ones bounce around.

You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.
Acts 2:28

  4. They really are very, very cute ... I mustn't say they're the cutest ever (or my brother-in-law wouldn't be happy ;) ) ... but they are next to being the cutest *ever*!

  7. Your lambs are stunning ! I can see the problem you're going to have choosing which ones to keep. I have the same problem with my new lambs. Isn't that a great problem ?

    1. Yes, it's a nice problem to have. There are a few yet to be born that we are hoping are ewes. One is from our flock matron. If she gives us a pretty ewe, we will retire her to queen status and keep her ewe lamb to continue that line. It will probably be the only ewe lamb we will keep unless we decide to part with an older one. It's so hard to decide and there are lots of "IFs" involved!
