May 20th Tornado

I started getting emails about the tornado that just ripped through South Oklahoma City.  It was south of us and our family and our farm are safe.  Please pray for those affected.  Total devastation.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1

    1. Prayers from Scotland. Thank you Anne. It's so bad and we feel helpless to be SO close and yet not be able to do anything. The only thing we can do right now is pray. Thank you for praying with us!

  3. So glad y'all are safe. Praying for those left to clean up. Many years of dealing with hurricanes, so I know what lies ahead. God's speed...

  6. glad you are safe. I have a dear friend here who has a ranch in Carney, OK and she had friends and family that lost everything. My daughter and I are wanting to come there to help with clean up. It is scary to think of all that has been lost. If you can give me any idea as to who to contact about coming there please message me or email me at Slaters431017174@aol.com

    1. Right now they are telling everyone including locals to stay out. With power lines down and gas pipes broken, even the water treatment plant in that area hit, people are being asked to leave. I would check with your friends and ask them to contact you when they are allowed in. Unfortunatly, many homes even those without a direct hit will be a total loss. Only keepsakes can be salvaged. Sending a gift card to them would probably be of great help for their immediate needs. Clothes are usually full of glass insulation from the houses and have to be thrown away. We had friends in this situation last year and their house was a total loss. We went in an filled up more trash bags that you can imagine. So sad. Will pray for your friends too.

  7. Kim,

I just found your blog days ago and haven't stopped reading. After I saw this storm I immediately thought of your family. I can't stop thinking of those affected and am so glad your family is safe.

I have learned so much from your posts and can't wait for more.
