Fuzzy Faces

Day Old Dominique

Waiting for the phone call.
Driving to the post office.
Hearing them chirp from the back room.
Carefully carrying the package to the car.
Greeting fuzzy faces as I lift the lid.

It's always exciting when the chicks arrive!

They are so tiny and cute ~ all 18 of them.
New life always amazes me!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away. Behold; the new has come.
2 Corinthians 5:17

  1. I've never thought of getting chicks in the winter. I think of spring when I think of chicks. I can't wait to see what they grow up to look like.

  2. I love Dominiques and have had many over the years. Now I keep Cuckoo Marans & bantam barred cochins...guess it is the feather pattern that appeals to me the most. Getting my new chicks in the mail is always a wonderful day and my heart melts when holding the tiny balls of fluff that will later become my flock of layers ! Looks like you have a lot of fun in store over these cold months.
