Good bye city life! Our family designed and built an industrial but old fashioned farmhouse on nine acres. Now we are building our homestead ~ or is it building us? Grab your boots and join us on our journey to country living.

Proud Momma ~ Part 2

This weekend our oldest graduated
with an Associates Degree in Animal Science.
Summa Cum Laude
Phi Theta Kappa
4.0

We were really surprised when he also received the President's Award for the highest level of academic achievement and led the student body into the room!

We are really proud of the hard work he has put in the past two years!
He has lived at home, studied at a local AG school,
and gotten off to a great start with college.
It's been a wonderful transition from homeschooling.

In addition to going to school
he competed on the equestrian team

and finished his falconry apprenticeship.
Yes, he's been a busy guy!

School doesn't stop here.
He wants a Dr. in front of his name.
It will be a long, difficult road
but we have no doubt he will get there.

Along the way he will get a belt buckle
at each graduation.

Congratulations, Jake!

The Lord has done great things for us
and we are filled with joy.
Psalm 126:3

  2. We were thinking of Jake last night, and with just as much pride as if we had anything to do with raising such a fine young man.
