Ramming in the New Year
They are called rams for a reason.
These two sweet boys have been anything but well behaved lately.
They just really want to go over there!
Where?
Where the girls are, of course!
Way over there.
Last week they put their heads together
and rammed their way out of their pen and into the ewe's pasture.
They had to break two gates to get in.
Azure as a little lamb is in the blog banner above. |
We decided not to breed this year
and it seems they had other ideas.
We don't think any ewes were bred.
The ladies were very upset and running from them.
Atticus is living up to his bold name. |
So the entrances have all been secured with ramming boards.
No more busting up the gates.
See if those pretty boys can get out of that!

Isiah 53:6
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned - every one - to his own way;
and the Lord has laid upon him the iniquity of us all.
I love the photos! I remember when the bulls would get an itching for the ladies. I spent many an hour on horseback rounding up love lorn bulls.
ReplyDeleteThat "dating" thing will get you in trouble every time! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I'm sure that to you it was not one bit funny, but looking at the baby picture of one of them reminds me of my boys going from babies to adults, some times with no brains. LOL Oh, did I just say that? Jo
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog and I love it~ this year I am living intentionally, one day at a time toward a simpler life.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Little Red Farmhouse! I hope you will come back again soon.
DeleteThank you! I will visit!
DeleteKim, I know I was supposed to be looking at the rams and mostly I was. But then I saw the picture of your bright colored chairs in the background and I got a little side - tracked! :-) Do you love them? We've been debating on purchasing some for our hilltop. And I am in love with those bright colors on yours! ;-) They look darling in front of your house. - Dori -
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Dori, I love those chairs! We originally bought wood ones and then painted them but they didn't hold up to the weather. Last year we upgraded them to the ones that are made from recycled milk cartons. I'll do a blog post on them soon.
