Doors wide open
What a glorious Sunday! It's sunny and sixty-six degrees outside. We have our doors wide open to bring in the fresh air. You would never guess that we had blizzard conditions a little over a week ago. If you look closely you can still see the snow at the edge of our pasture.
Around here people say, "If you don't like the weather, wait an hour or so." That's Oklahoma for you.
I have the doors open here to in NE Texas today! Hurray for signs of spring!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful?! It is invigerating and uplifting for sure. Blessings
ReplyDeleteWe say the same thing here in MA!! We have 3 feet of snow still on the ground (VERY RARE for us) and it was 5 degrees the other day but we hope to reach 55 this week!! I'll have the windows and doors wide open too! ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous. Although it did hit 40, which is a nice change from the -10 the other morning. But I'm not crazy. 40 is still cold!
ReplyDeleteSame thing going on here in Southwest Missouri! Loving the sunshine and the beautiful temperature!
ReplyDeleteI just read a good dozen or so of your past posts. Want you to know how much I enjoy looking at your beautiful images and reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about Oklahoma..so I'm learning from you. I do remember something about 'corn as high as an elephant's eye' from the musical..lol! I am guessing you have hot summers to ripen the corn!
ReplyDeleteWe have a similar saying; if you don't like the weather - hard luck! ha ha jennyx
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day!

And I sounds like we are going to have a whole week of it. These spring-like spells in the middle of the winter was one of the things I first loved about Oklahoma when I moved here from Illinois to go to college.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for May--that's when it's finally warm enough to open the doors/windows. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteWe had the same weather...hard to believe we had such cold temperatures and the snow storm last week and now this. Just wait till Thursday! I only have one concern about the warm weather...I just don't want it to make the lilac buds come out early in case we have a late frost. Isn't it great to get outside and do something without freezing your fingers or your nose and ears or feet! Come on Spring! I hope your day was a good one.
Maura :)
Glad your thankful for your weather!! You can be happy you don't have ours... it was -40 driving into the hospital this morning....and THANK YOU for stopping by my blog and commenting on our baby boy!! We are doing well and enjoying every second with our newest addition!!
